Transit T1 declaration
A T1 is an internationally recognised transit authorisation between foreign countries / customs offices
Transit is made from one customs office to another customs office
For ex. A shipment is made from the USA to Germany, via Belgium; a T1 can be opened in Belgium to allow transport to Germany. The T1 is then closed in Germany once taxes are paid

- Allows the movement of goods from one customs office to another customs office through several countries without need for import/export clearance (duties, licenses…)
- The EU is considered as 1 sole country here.
- The transit could be from one External EU country, through the EU, and back out
- Or from one member state to another via an external country
