DAT – DELIVERED AT TERMINAL
SELLER’S OBLIGATIONS
UNLOADING OF MATERIAL ? - Seller bears all (transport, risk, insurance) until delivery at terminal, which includes unloading of goods from main mode of transport.
SEPARATED COSTS ? - Are all costs at arrival (i.e. terminal handling charges {THC}...) known/understood by buyer, clearly designated and separated from main transport on invoice/s?
AIR / ROAD / RAIL / SEA - different modes of transport lead to different types of charges for unloading/transferring/handling goods from mode of transport to terminal.

BUYER’S OBLIGATIONS
CUSTOMS ? - In most cases, upon arrival, goods must be cleared by customs for import. This means that before arriving at the terminal, merchandise will have to transit through custom's authority. Nevertheless, this step (import clearance) is managed by the buyer. Seller will only be able to accomplish delivery (at terminal) after the buyer has had goods cleared for import.
GETTING ACCESS TO THE MERCHANDISE ? - Buyer will only be able to retrieve merchandise once goods after been cleared for import (buyer's responsibility), and transfer to terminal has been paid by seller/merchandise released by terminal Handler.
